I am now a member of the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society's Team in Training Program! As a member, I have committed to complete a marathon!!(That's 26.2 miles, for those of you who don't know, and no I am not crazy!!!) On December 9, 2001, I will participate with THE TEAM, in Dallas, TX for the White Rock Marathon. I have set a personal goal to raise a minimum of $3000.00 for the Society. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)requires I raise a minimum of $1200.00 with 75% of what I raise going toward research, patient aid, community service, and public & professional education. With your help, I plan to pass LLS's minimum and reach my personal goal.

WHY?

Leukemia is the number one cause of death in children between the ages of 1-15 and takes the lives of 57,000 people each year. There is no way to prevent leukemia, but it can be treated effectively.
